Unexpected meeting with a school friend
(Time does leave few things untouched...)
Met my friend after a decade
On a special day – friendship day
Presence of her kid and wishes from her husband
Was testimony of our continuing bond.
A decade hasn’t create any gap
For we picked up from where we left
Not a stammer, not a formality
No loss of words
But same way we have been a decade ago
Realized things haven’t changed in any big way.
Word spoken were very less
Time spent was almost null
Yet the moments were joyful.
This unexpected meeting was not for long
Yet touching enough to create this rhapsody
And so touching like beautiful music – sans a song.
